What is the difference between margin and mark-up?
Answered By Charly Applegate, Editor
Margin is defined as a guarantee that a holder of a position in options or futures contract has to deposit to cover the credit risk of his counterpart. Mark-up is the additional charge imposed on a certain product or service to cover up the expenses on selling it.
